I was born in 1957 in Bolzano, in the far North of Italy, where I lived and worked as architect until the year 1995. I graduated at in Architecture at the University of Florence in 1982 with a dissertation focusing on the reclaiming of an urban area of Bolzano, followed by the then friend and colleague Adolfo Natalini. I gave the exam for the Order of Journalist in 1983, and that’s when I officially started. The first 12 years of work have been deeply characterised by the full immersion in a socially complex but stimulating reality, that of Alto Adige, where Italian and German speaking cultures relate and co-exist. In those years I started entangling various constructive relations with colleagues which brought projects, works and tenders also with the public administration.

In 1996 I decided to move away from the city. I moved to Città della Pieve, a small jewel in Umbria. Here I grew professionally, as I could expand my professional field also in the conservative restoration to reclaiming of abandoned typical “borgos” and “casali”. Yet, I never abandoned my passion of building from zero, and I did drew projects of new homes also following eco-architecture. Moreover, I kept developing various interests in fields which I perceive as connected to architecture, ranging from history of art to scientific knowledge, from psychology to human science.
